Baked Tortellini...YUMMO! :)

OMG....I dont' know if it gets any better than this!  :)
It's easy enough too!

FOODIE FRIDAY!  :)

Baked Tortellini
1 pkg dry tortellini (I used chesse filled from Trader Joe's)
1 lb lean ground beef (I used turkey)
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 can tomato sauce
Fresh Mozarella
Fresh Basil
Italian seasoning
Garlic

Boil Pasta according to directions on the package.  Meanwhile, brown ground beef and onion.  Drain.  Add sauces and seasonings to taste.  Let simmer for a bit.  Add tortellini when it is done.  Combine and put all in 9x13 baking dish.  Cover with Mozarella cheese and basil.  Bake 350' for about 30 mins until brown on top.  I broiled mine for a couple minutes too to speed up the browning cause we were hungry!  :)  Served with Texas Toast and salad.  DELISH!!!!  :)

Yummmy!!!

Aiye, Chihuahua!

Hi friends!! :)
I love this digital image!!! The only downside is that I have been buying so many images lately that I am getting confused as to where I buy them from.  Anyone have any good ideas as to how to orgainze them?  Aside from putting the name in my save file, I'm just not sure and frankly, I don't want to mess up the alphabitizing by puttin the name in front, not to mention I have hundreds already that I don't think I'd ever remember where they all came from.  Oh well.
At any rate, I think this one is from Mo's and I LOVE IT!  LOVE! IT!  It is almost perfect for my baby girl!  :)  (see below) I made one black version which is my fave because it resembles my baby and two tan ones.  The tan ones are easier to color because the outline of the image still shows through.  I like how they all turned out!  :)
Aiye, Chihuahua!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Grad!

Hi to you!  :)
YAY!  Graduations are fun...my boss's son is graduating from high school and going to Ball State University, here in Indiana.  When I saw this digi at Mo's I knew I had to have it (and some others) to make a card for him.  His party is coming right up and it's sure to be a lot of fun.  I made this a pop-up gift card holder - which was cool to make!  I now have to decide where I want to get the gift card.  I'm thinking Target....  Who doesn't like Target?  :)  I will wish him the best on this next chapter in his life!  Congrats, Grad!

That means a new challenge over at SSDS!  :)  This week it is a Military Theme.  You should see the other DT designs...mine is child-like compared to theirs!!!  But mine boings bbbooooiiinnnggg!!!  Okay, I guess that makes it even more child-like.  LOL.  Oh well, that is the mood I'm in so that's what you get.  I like this image and there is a girl version and a boy version.  I am trying hard to remember where I got it and I think it was Mo's but I'm not positive.  I am going to send it to Mike's brother....he has been in the army for nearly 20 years and deserves a big pat on the back for all that he's done!  Here's to you MSGT J. Rep!

Please follow this link to join us!  And comment me that you did so I can be sure to check yours out!!! :)

CornDog Casserole

Corn Dog Casserole....
Wow, folks, it doesn't get much easier than this!  And the kids, BF, and I all enjoyed it SO, YAY!!!
Ingredients:
3 boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix (and ingredients it calls for)
10 slices cheese (I used provolne and american because that is what I had on hand)
2 packages of hot dogs.
Prepare the Jiffy according to package directions.  Pour half of it into a 9x13 baking dish, top with hotdogs - you can cut em or leave em whole, or whatever you want.  I laid them whole side by side with a couple extra to lay down the side.  Top them with cheese and then put the other 1/2 of the jiffy on top.  Bake for about 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees.

Race Day Roxy

Living here in Indiana for the majority of my life the Indianapolis 500 is a pretty big deal.  I had been to time trials and qualifications, but never to the race....UNTIL last year!  My BF's dad gets a bunch of tickets every year and lucky me gets to join in now!  It is a big family affair and lots of fun...but last year it was the hottest ever and I seriously thought I was going to burst into flames sitting high up on the bleacher seats.  UGH.    My son was sweet and kept putting a towel in the cooler and putting it on my head to help cool off.  It was really that miserably hot.  Here's hoping it's not so hot this year!!!  Instead I made a HOT card....  (Okay, bad pun, but it was a good segway. LOL)
I used my copics to color this....I love them!  I still need a few more to do some wicked highlighting, but I'm getting better! :)

My BF's brother is in the Army (so proud of him - he'll be retiring soon - Shout out to MSGT J. Rep - You ROCK!!) and I'm going to send this card to him.

Here's to hot drivers and cool summer days at the track this year!

Enjoy your day!

It's no suprise to you that I love me some digi images.  Coloring is just plain fun!!!  I had a great time making this card.  It can be used for anything.  I gave it to a friend of mine.  :)

This was actaully very easily put together, no special technique or anything.  Just basic, fun stuff!  :)

Big Ol' Jet Airliner

Okay...as some of you know I have had to do a bit of travel for work.  Puts a bit of a damper on my crafting, but it's part of the job and I am more than happy to do it cause afterall, without my job there would be no crafting! :)
Anyway, I thought I'd mix the two a bit!  One of the people that went with me likes the aisle seat and I like the window.  We were on a pretty big plane on the way home from San Jose - it had three seats on each side of the aisle.  There was a stop in Denver where we could get up and stretch our legs but we continued on in the same plane.  Well, the WHOLE way home (both legs of the trip!) Chris and I sat in the same row and had NO ONE in the middle seat!!  I think we had the only empty seat on the plane!!! YAY US!!  I refuse to believe it is because we stink or anything like that!  I think it was because we had a conversation kinda over the seat while it was loading.  I think we tricked 'em!  :)  It was (very) intentional but it was NICE!!!  Not that I mind sitting next to someone, just, well, you know what I mean - it is just better when it's empty!!
Also, right before this trip I got a new work phone.  I took these pictures on that.  Before I really knew how to focus in.  So I'm sorry for the poor quality but you get the jist.

Chris liked the plane and we all got a bit of a laugh and a *sigh* of relief! :)

PS - there is a small Hershey bar in there and sixlet wings! :)
Have a great day,
Tammy

Foodie Friday Sweet and Sour Meatballs

I'm thinking that I may do a recipe every Friday for you adn call it Foodie Friday! :)  What do yo think?  I loooove trying new recipes and when they turn out, I love to share them!

Today I'm going to share Sweet and Sour meatballs!  :)  Yummy.  And you get to mix meat with your hands...does it get any better than that?!?  LOL!
This is worth the effort though!

Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Ingredients:
4 slices white bread
2 pounds ground turkey or lean beef
2 eggs
2 T soy sauce
4 green onions sliced
1/2 t salt
1 t ground ginger
1/4 t pepper
1 (20oz) can pineapple chunks
1/4 C apple cider vinegar
1/4 C brown sugar
1/2 C ketchup
2 t cornstarch
1 bell pepper cut into thin strips

Preheat oven to 400'
*Place the bread in a dish of cold water for 5 mins to moisten
*Remove bread from dish and squeeze bread to drain the water.  Crumble the moistned bread into tiny pieces and place in large mixing bowl.  Add ground turkey or beef, eggs, soy, onions, ginger, salt and pepper.
*Using hands, combine all ingredients nad form walnut-sized balls and arrange in single layer along botom of large regagular baking dish.  Bake 30 mins until firm.
*While meatballs are cooking, drain the juice from the pinmeapple into a sauce pot over medium-high heat.  Add the vinegar, brown sugar, and ketchup to the pot and bring to boil, stirring constantly.  Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer.  Mix in cornstarch with 2 T watter simmer until thickened.
*Drain the meatballs - I just used tongs to move the meatbals into the saucepan and rinsed out the baking dish then re-added everything into the dish.  Add pineapple chunks and pepper strips.
*Bake an additional 10-15 mins.  Garnish with more green onioon if desired.

I'd love to hear if you try it...and please do! :)
