Tomato Ketchup

Hi there!
I know I mentioned that my son broke his ankle back in January...he's been going through Physical Therapy for the last couple of months and yesterday was his last day!!  YAY!!!  He's feeling so much better now and we wanted to give his therapist a note of thanks for taking such good care of him.  His therapist is from England and has a cute accent.  The day we met him he was talking about soemthing and said 'tomato ketchup' and we loved it!  It sounds so neat hearing it in his accent....and we've asked him several times to say it again.  I thought it would be appropriate to make him a cute ketchup bottle card!!! :)  We gave him some yummy M&M's as well.  It was great!
Thank you to my Cricut which I just love!!! :)
Enjoy your day!

Weightloss Journal

Hi Y'all!  I know this is a sore subject for me!  I have gained and lost the same 60 pounds over and over and over.  Now that my kids are 12 and 14 I guess I have to face the reality that it is no longer pregnancy weight!  :)  I just really like to eat!  Food is goooood!  BUT everything in moderation....so maybe if I make a cute book to record everything in I'll actually look like the body I hand drew (Yay, me!!!) on the cover!!!  :)  Okay, I haven't looked like that since I was 24, but oh well, a girl can dream!  :)

Foodie Friday - Turkey and Stuffing Casserole

Hi y'all!!!  Happy FRIDAY!!!  This meal is brought to you by my BBFF Christy!!!  Check out her crafty, sweet blog!  :)  Chicken and Stuffing Casserole is what she made, but I had leftover turkey in the freezer!  YUM!
Ingredients
2 c. cubed cooked chicken, 1 pkg (6 oz) stuffing mix (like stove top chicken flavor), 1 can (2.8 oz) French Fried Onions, 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen brocolli (thawed and drained), 1 pkg cheese sauce mix or can of cheese soup, 1 1/4 c. milk, 1/2 c. sour cream.
Instructions
Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions.  Stir in 1/2 can onions.  Spread onto the bottom of a greased casserole dish.  Arrange Brocolli pieces around edge of the dish.  Mix cheese sauce, milk, sour cream and chicken.  Pour over brocolli.  Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.  Sprinkle the remaining onions sprinkled on top for the last 5 minutes of baking.
Make stuffing according to box and spread on bottom of 8x8 pan OR double it for 9x11

YUM!!! :)

Thanks Christy!!!

Allison House B&B

Hi all! :)
I was lucky enough to get to stay at the Allison House Bed and Breakfast in Nashville, IN not too long ago.  It was a great getaway even if it didn't turn out to be quite as romantic as I'd hoped.  Mike got called to do mandatory OT on Saturday, so Friday night I spent by myself, but honestly I was okay with that.  I had time to myself and shopped, ate a cute little restaurant, blogged a bit and watched some You Tube.  That is where I found a nice woman who is Logan's mom at  http://www.youtube.com/user/loganscraftymomma  I honestly don't even know her name, but she seems sweet and sincere and I found her when I was looking for a recipe but then she crafts too so Wahoo!!! :)  She made a stairstep card very similar to this one for her realtor and I loved it.  So guess what?  I copied.  LOL!  I made this one for the Innkeepers at the B&B.  I know they will like it, but I'm not sure how to mail such a 3D card in the mail.  Guess I need to get a big envelope.  I will be mailing it soon.

Have you ever stayed at a B&B?  I really enjoy them!  So charming and such great food!!  This is one of my all time favorites!!!  The food was to die for!!!!  SO YUM!!  I'm going to try to reproduce at least part of a meal and if it turns out I will do another post about it!  :)
It's a stair step card.  HOW COOL IS THAT!?!?!
The base card is 10.5 x 5 and scored at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 4 1/4, 6, 8 1/4
fold like an accordia and there you have it!  Easy peasy!
The green cardstock for the stairs are all cut at 4 3/4 inches long but with varying widths.  The first step is 1" the second is 1 1/2" and the third step is 2"
I used My Community cartridge for everything...the house, the trees, the fence, adn the pup.  I made my own grass and flowers and sign.
I'm really not sure what the flower pot that is by the door is supposed to be - I couldn't tell exaclty.  So I made it into a flower pot with glittery flowers dotted in with my stickles.  I used my gypsy so I'm not sure of anythings size.  Sorry.  :(

Foodie Friday - Mac and Cheese

Okay, I know we all have our favorite boxed mac-n-cheese.  I was searching online for something creamier and baked.  I found some good ideas for the crockpot, but it was already 3pm and I wanted it for dinner!  So I combined some recipes and came up with this deliciousness!!!
I am sorry my recipe is not measured at all but here's what I did...
Boil about 8 oz of noodles - I used shells
While those were boiling I added 1/2 stick butter to a pot and melted that and then sauteed about 1/4C onion into it.  I then added 2 C milk and 2 C cheese (I had white american cheese) - starting out with 1:1 ratio was for no particular reason and didn't take long for more cheese to be added!
As that melted I drained the shells and added them to the pot with a bit of salt an pepper.  I quickly realized I needed more cheese so I raided th fridge and used some of whatever I had - including 4 oz of cream cheese!!!  WoW!  YUM!
My daughter and I like it crunchy (burnt to a crisp!) on top so I baked some at 350' with some shredded cheddar on top for the two of us.  YUMMMM!  :)
Enjoy your FRIDAY!!
