Foodie Friday - Creamy Spaghetti and Garlic Biscuits

Wow!  To say that this was my favorite meal this week would be an understatement!!!  We all LOVED it!!!!  I adapted both of these recipes from Plain Chicken (  Please make them both - they are amazing and I had them ready from start to finish in an hour.

Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole

1 box pasta (I had angel hair and the corkscrew kind in the pantry so combined them)
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 15 oz can stewed tomotoes
1 lb lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3 tsp Italian seasoning
3 clove garlic, minced
2 t salt
1 t red pepper
8 ounces cream cheese
1 C mozarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.

In a skillet, brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic until cooked through; drain fat and stir in tomato sauce and spices.  Bring to a boil and let simmer while you cook pasta (and get garlic bread ready!).

Meanwhle, cook pasta according to directions on packet.  Drain and place cooked spaghetti in bowl.  Add cream cheese and stir until cream cheese is melted and the spaghetti is thoroughly coated.

Lightly grease a 9x13" pan.  Spread a small amount of meat sauce in the bottom of the dish.  Put spaghetti on top of sauce and top with remaining meat sauce.  Sprinkle mozarella cheese on top.

Bake for 30 minutes, until bubbly

Garlic Parmesan Skillet Bread
1 can biscuits - I used Grand Jr's
1/2 stick butter
2 garlic cloves, minced or pressed
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350.  Melt butter and mix in garlic and Italian seasoning.  Tear biscuits into quarters and toss in butter mixture.  Place in baking dish and top with cheese.  Bake at 350' for 20 minutes.
*I put them in the oven with the spaghetti after giving the spag 10 mins by itself.

  1. Mmmm looks fabbo - but you got me on the "1 can of biscuits" .....????.... what is that exactly ????

    1. Ike- do you have Pillsbury biscuits? In the states they are sold in cans by the milk and butter. They are just dough waiting to be baked! :)
Where are you again? I forget! I remember the pictures were beautiful though!
