Nothin' but net!

Mo's did it again, with this digital image!!!  My son is on a basketball league that has different sessions that play all year.  He loves it and it is a higher level than he had been used to so he is learning a lot too.  It's a win/win!  :)  I thought I'd make cards for both the coaches to let them know they are appreciated and also one for my MVP!! :)  I made them all look a bit like my favorite boy.  I also made them all boing using the Action Wobbles.  SO much fun!!!! :)

Enjoy!!!

Bestest Friends Forever

Summer brings on lots of good times for my kids!  My daughter has had a friend named Aubre since Aubre moved to her school in 4th grade.  They are great friends and I hope this is one of those friendships that last a lifetime.  I love Aubre and her family too.  Great people!!  When I saw this image at Mo's I immediately thought of my girls.  It is perfect!  I made these to stand up at my daughter's request.  She didn't want them to be cards and she wanted one for both her and Aubre.  I made them similar but not identical.
She loved them and is going to let Aubre pick the one she wants and keep the other.  So sweet!

Here's to all the BFF's out there!

Foodie Friday, Roasted Chicken and Veggies

For this week's recipe I am turning to Erica at Acire Adventures.  I saw this and knew I had to try it.  I forgot to take pictures of my final product.  Seriously this smelled soooo good that by the time it was ready all we wanted to do was EAT!!!  And it's delish!!!!
My version varies from her's slightly so please check her blog out!

Roasted Chicken and Vegetables with Fresh DillWhat you need:

8 chicken thighs
(I'm sure any chicken would do, but the skin on bone-in thighs are soooo good you will be sorry if you don't use them!)
lemon juice
3 Tbsp olive oil
kosher salt
pepper
1 pound baby potatoes
1 bunch asparagus
1 bunch green onions
1 bunch carrots
1/4 cup chopped fresh dill or dill seasoing - I used the kind from Tastefully Simple!  :)

How to make it:
The oven is hotter than I would expect, but it turned out great so who am I to question?

Preheat your oven to 500 degrees F. Rinse the chicken in cool water and pat dry. Place on a baking sheet with the skin side up. Sprinkle some salt and pepper, lemon juice, and olive oil over the chicken.
Cut potatoes in half; remove the lower portion of ddand cut carrots into small pieces (unless they are baby carrots, which are a good size). Toss the vegetables in a bowl with the remaining olive oil and some salt and pepper.

I put chicken in one dish and veggies in another. Roast for about 35-40 more minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked with golden skin and the vegetables are tender. Remove from oven, top with fresh dill and salt.

Beach Babe

I know, I've shared this image in an older post, but I just LOVE it! And this is a whole new layout!  :)  I sent this card to my BBFF, Christy!  :)  Shout out to you, Christy! :)  It is so cute and from Mo's Digital Pencil - but honestly I had a hard time finding her.  Keep looking, she's there.  I hope they make their site easier to navigate around in.  It seems like they are under construction so maybe that is what they are working on.  I hope so!!!  I almost hate sharing the site because I don't like it so much, BUT I guess that tells you how much I enjoy her images.  They are awesome!!!!  Just try not to get frustrated and keep looking!  :)

That's Normal, Right?!?

HI MY CRAFTY FRIENDS!!!  :)
Love this new digital image place I found.  Doodle Pantry they have awesome images...check 'em out!  :)  This one caught my eye because the birds are just plain cute, but also the one upside down made me laugh out loud!  I have a teenaged daughter and I think I'll give her one of these with teh sentiment "Dare to Be Different"  I think it's awesome.  And important for her to know that it's okay to do her own thing and to be her own person.  I like how these came out and if you keep looking below you will see that I made two versions.  :)  Tweet, tweet!

Mustache Mania

Hi all!  It's Saturday so you know what that means....  Another challenge at SSDS!!  :)

I went of the beaten path for this a bit.  The challenge was photo inspired so I did something crafty, but it didn't involve paper.  However I am doing anthor post soon with something similar that will include paper, but still not the main subject.  :)  Anyway, I had fun with this.  I know that staches are the rage right now and when I was looking for another candy mold I ran into this one....had to get it esp since it was $2.40!  :)  Worth every penny, I'd say!  :)
Enjoy your day and please join the challenge.  If you do please let me know so I can check out your work!!!
TTFN,
Tammy

Okay - here is the photo inspiration:

Foodie Friday Margarita Cupcakes

WoW!!!  These are some sweeeet treats!  Very good but really too sweet, next time I'm gonna cut down on the sugar a bit.  I got this recipe from my BBFF, Christy.  Check out her blog for more fab pictues adn the original recipe...here is mine with some tweaks made and comments on what I will do differently next time.  I also made cute little tequilla worms and laminated them for each glass.  I, of course, kept them so I will have them to use again!  :)  There is no tequilla in these, but maybe next time!?!

CUPCAKES:
One box white cake mix made according to package directions.  Let cool and tear one up in bottom of margarita glass (mine didn't all match and I din't have enough for everyone and luckily I found some at the Dollar Store!)
FILLLING:
Beat (for 2 minutes) together 1 small pkg (4 oz) vanilla instant pudding with 1/2 c. whipping cream, 1/4 c. lime juice, 4 drops green food color, 1/2 c. powdered sugar. Let rest for 3 min, and then place in fridge.
Next time I will make the pudding first, add the whipped cream, lime juice, food coloring and 1/4 C sugar.  The way this was it was more like frosting itself and I'd prefer more more of a pudding filling.
ICING:
Melt 5 oz of white chocolate and set aside.
Mix 1 stick of butter (room temperature), 3 1/2 c. powdered sugar, pinch of salt, 1/2 t. salt, 1/2 t. vanilla, 1 T. lime, and 1/4 c. sour cream. Add in chocolate just until combined.
Too sweet for me...next time I will start with 2 1/2 C powdered sugar and 1/2 C sour cream.  I'll add more sugar to taste.

Garnish edges with green sugar made by adding a couple (3) drops of food coloring to 1 C of sugar.  There was a ton of sugar left over so maybe don't use quite so much.  the top with a lime slice.
My daughter helped me and we had lots of fun making these!!! :)   Isn't she adorable!!! :)  Love her, love her!

Dance, Dance, Dance!!!

Dancing...this is huge at my house.  My daughter just loves to dance, it's her passion.  I thought these dancing mice were adorable and I haven't used them in a long time.  They are from CTMH.  I made this card for Mike's niece who is going to a performing arts college in NYC.  She had a performance and although we couldn't be there, we wanted to wish her the best.  I hope she liked it; I'm sure she did!  What's not to like!?!?!  Dancing mice and all!  :)

YAY!!  Enjoy your day and DANCE LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING!
