Foodie Friday - Smoothie

YUM!!!
This Foodie Friday is less of a recipe and more of a reminder that the Farmer's Markets are open and the fruit is delicious!  I like to divide my fruit into freezable smoothie portions and put them in freezer bags.  Ready when I am ready for one.  I just add a tad of sweetner (if needed) and some water or milk or yogurt or ice - what ever I am feeling and put it all in my magic bullet.  YUM!  :)

Congrats cards

Good morning!!!!  I made these two cards for friends of my daughter.  She has such a diverse group of friends I love it!!  They all have enough in common to be best friends yet they all do their own things and they are all so good at what they do!!!  Kaity's friends Lucy and Brittany are both going to state - one for hurdles and one for swimming.  How cool is that?!?!  I made these cards using scrap (yay!) and also the All Sports cartridge.  I'm so glad I got that one...kinda wish I didn't go a little overboard trying to win it and spending too much on ebay to get it but that's a problem for another day...and maybe I should involve a counselor.  LOL!  Anyway, I think they turned out pretty cute and Kaity said that they really liked them!

Simple things

Hi all,
I thought it was time to post a simple card...gosh sometimes I just love to make them.  They kinda help get the mojo flowing and are fun and lift my spirits.  Hopefully they do that for the recipients too!  :)
I don't remember where I got this digi from, but I love it because it reminds me of Santa Mouse and I've had a thing for Santa Mouse since I was a kid.  My mom took my brother and me to KMart and I remember picking out the Santa Mouse book when I was 4 years old.  I still have that book and bring it out every Christmas season.  So sweet!!!

Graduation Week - Frame #2

YAY!!  Another frame project! :)  I know, I am hooked!  This time it is for a friend at work's son.  He is going to Ball State and he plays guitar.  His major will be music.  I don't know his son at all so it was a bit hard to decide what to do for him...but I really like how this turned out!  After finding the greyhound using my SCAL program I did the same with the Ball State Cardinal.  This time I only did two pics and left the middle open for him to put his own picture in.

Cut the guitar from Hanna Montana cartridge.
Pretty cute!

Graduation week - gift bag/tag

This was so fun to make!  The bird was cut using my gypsy from 3 Birds on Parade adn I just made it the colors of Ball State University and decorated her up a bit.
:)
Fun and easy...can't get better than that!

Graduation Week - Frame

YAY!   I love it when a project turns out!  After doing that baby shower frame I was hooked on frames and wanted to do more.  Mike's friend's daughter is going to the Universisity of Indianapolis on a track scholarshp so I put SCAL and my gypsy into action.  The more I use SCAL the more I love it!  I was able to find a pic online of the UofI mascot (a greyhound) and I was able to easlity able to separate the layers and viola... I got just what I wanted!  I put that in the middle and some track designs on Either side.  She does long jump and I thought the gal from All Sports looks like she is doing that when you don't include the hurde that she is intended to be jumping over.  Turned out really cute I think!  :)
Don't mean to toot my own horn, but Toot! Toot!  LOL! :)
Thanks for looking!
Enjoy and TTFN,
Tammy

Graduation Week - Gift

 Hi All,
My BBFF (Best Blogging Friend Forever), Christy often will do a 'week of' something.  Shes's done tons of stuff and not only do I enjoy each day I also look forward to the next post!  So I'm gonna be a copy cat and do a week (may not be a daily post) of GRADUATION.  Now this may be a bit late for this year - I'm not sure, but hopefully you can find something fun to do next year.  I've posted some cards etc already, but I feel like this year I've done more for graduations than I ever have.
This is a fun project.  Mike's best friend's daughter graduated from HS and I thought I wanted to make something unique for her.  While I was shopping at JoAnne's for a frames I found these letters for $1 off....making them $2.99 instead of $3.99.  This was super easy and cheap!  I just took vinyl in the colors of the college she is attending and cut circles out with my circle punches.  Then I cut some for the edges and went at it.  It looks cute by itself but I thought I should put something on it to hang it.  Thinking she may want to put it in her dorm room.   What better than zebra print! :)
I really like how it looks together.  I was able to use ribbon I already had on hand.  So this gift was a grand total of $2.99 plus tax.  Not too shabby!!
Hope she likes it...if not my daughter (Kaity) said she'll take it! :)
Enjoy today,
Tammy

Baby Shower Gift

YAY!!!  I'm super excited about this gift!!  Mike's cousin is pregnant with a little girl and she is doing the nursery in zoo animals and tutus.  I am so happy with how this turned out!  AND I love Create-A-Critter!!!  It's probably my fave cartridge!
I found the frame at HL.  It was originally like $30 and it was 1/2 off but then I noticed a blemish on the wood frame.  I knew I could fix it so I asked about it and they gave me more off...I got the frame for less than $7!!!  Score!!!  It's a cute frame too!  Nothing a little lace ribbon couldn't fix.  Pictures below of the process but I just hot glued it around and viola!  You can't even tell that it was ever less than perfect.
I made the cute critters and put tutus on most of them and they are ADORABLE!!!
I was happy to learn that the glass fit over my critters even with some flower embellies that I bought on ebay.  They are really sweet!
Thanks for looking!

Here is the big boo boo and the lace ribbon I used to fix it all up!  :)

Final Cheer post...boo hoo! Paperbag album

Ah, I love cheerleading and I love that my daughter loves it too!!!  I especially love that she knows her passion and although it is not cheer, she's had a great time cheering in junior high.  She is going to pursue dance in HS and made the JV squad and couldn't be more excited.  I am so proud of her!!!  That being said, I did make a cute paper bag album for her for cheer and I have loads (and loads) of pics below to show you what I've been working on!  :)
One great thing was that I got to use up a lot of scraps!! :)  Fun!
Enjoy!

The above pic is at one of our home 8th grade games.  Below is Mike and me during a rain storm.  What dedicated fans we are!  :)
