Happy Halloween (Personal share)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Tonight was full of treats!!!  We enjoyed a nice dinner of yummy chili and cornbread before we started trick or treating.
My kids had a great time!!!! And they have lots of loot for me to steal!  :)
I just wanted to share a picture of them....
Kaity is wearing her candy corn costume that I made!!  Yay!  I've never done that before!
Al is Napoleon Dynamite....hahaha!!!

Tink is a little Tiger - she's a ferocious beast!  Mike is just Mike, MY SWEETIE!

And here's my treat for a day well done!!!  Yummo!

Happy Halloween and Goodnight - can't wait to download the Gypsy files tomorrow!!!!:)

Yummy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!!!
Yea...it's here!  IT'S HERE!!!  :)

Here are a couple last minute Halloween treat ideas...  super easy!

The first on I used one sheet of double-sided, 12x12 paper and made three gummy, yummy treats!

I cut the paper to fit a pack of gum - (use whatever you want but I would recommend this Extra chocolate mint - it is tasty!!) I believe it was about 3.5inches for me so I had a little scrap left over which I used in the next project (see below!)
So the paper was 3.5x12 and I simply wrapped it aroun my gum package and scored fold lines.  I used mono adhesive to adhere the gum to the paper and then to close the flap.  I also used a punch to add a stip of goop and then I cut out one of the ghosts from the paper adn pop-dotted it on the flap.  Turned out really cute and my kids loved them!  My BF appreciated his too....I left one on his steering wheel so he got a treat when he got ready to go to work.  :)  Yea, he's probably at least a little bit spoiled, but I love every minute of it!!

Enjoy, and keep scrolling down for a great way to use your left over scraps!!!

This next treat was super easy...I just used the scrap 12 inch piece I had and scored at 6 inches folded one side about 2 inches down, closed using brads and cut a left over critter out of scraps, added some dollar store pixi sticks and tada.... cute and fun!!  :)

Enjoy!!

"Popping Halloween"

Yea!!  It's Halloween Eve!  :)  We really love Halloween around here...it's fun dressing up and passing out candy.  Then it's fun sneaking sorting through the loot that my kids got!  I loooove to eat their count their candy - especially the m&m's and Reese's!  Yummo...er, Wahoo!  :)  My son is going as Napoleon Dynamite and my daughter is going to a be a candy corn...I'm awfully proud of that one cause I made it!!  Woot, woot!!  :)  I will share pictures soon!  I used 25 yard of tulle on that bad-boy and it is tutu cute!  :)

Anyway, today I wanted to share a gift that I gave to some friends and neighbors....  I was at Target and found the stove-top Jiffy Pop popcorn - remember that stuff??  Oh, how I used to love it when my parents would buy that for us.  It was soooo coooool watching the bag pop!  WELL, they had them fore $1 at Target.  I cleaned them out of all 9 that they had and started working.  :)

I made Jiffy Pop Jack-o-Lanterns!  Fun!!
I used George and Basic Shapes to make the basic shapes - Circle pumpkin, triangle eyes and nose, moon-shaped mouth, rectangle stem. I also made some tag bases. Added some bling with stickles and made a tag using mini-monsters.  Whalah...  fun for all ages!

Enjoy!!  Have a Happy Halloween!!!

An Alligator's Smile

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!
Yay!  I found this blog that does a challenge every week - read about it here...
http://magchallengebythepage.blogspot.com/
Anyway...they have a new challenge every week (and it looks like it just started!).  They ask you to use your cricut and tell you the cartridge and page and those are the only things you can you other than embelishments.  This week they used my fave cartridge (at least today, it is) Create-A-Critter!  YAY!!!  BUT, they picked a critter that I've never used before.....here comes the challenge, I s'pose!  :)

This time it was p. 45 - a gator, a bird, some grass and the word 'smile'.  So this is what I came up with....
Pretty cute!  Thanks for the challenge!!

Witches Brooms

Hi Crafters...
Hope you are doing well today!!  I have a busy evening with an All-Star Football game tonight.  LET'S GO ALL-STARS!!!  :)  We are really having fun and Monday night, my son's team whomped the other team 25-0!!  Wahoo!  Tonight is not gonna be so easy though....the team we are playing is also undefeated and they whopped on their last opponent too.  So...wish my son luck!  He's ready for some football!!!

I wanted to share this really cute project I did for my kiddos....  I enjoyed making them as much as they enjoyed getting them.  I just love Snoopy...he's so cute.  I got this idea off of SCS some time ago and I do not know who I 'scraplifted' sorry.  I'm so excited that Halloween is on it's way....it's getting really close now and I'm not finished with my daughter's costume yet!  I need to get cracking on that...  Anyway, LOOK AT THIS!!!  YAY!!!  So cute, so cute, so cute!!

Those are lunch bags - one to hold the candy and one that I cut up to make it look like a broom.  I used twine to wrap the top and put a stick from the yard in it for the handle.  I think they turned out cuuuute!  Oh, and I added a spider ring with a glue dot to the stick....hope I didn't scare anyone!  :)  I just used my cricut to cut the circles and put an eyelet on to tie the tag on with twine.  Easy, peasy!

Close up of the blinged up Snoop....thanks to Stickles.

Here are the goodies inside!!

Also put some handmade chocolates inside.  Pictures didn't turn out very well but they are Garfield and I made some pumpkins.  Just melted chocolate disks and put them
in a mold.  Yummy and Easy!

NOW, best of all >>>>>
My Al-Star!  LOL!!!  (His name is Alex but he likes to be called Al - too cute!)  He's so proud of the football gloves that he purchased himself with birthday money!  Wish him luck!

Hope you all have a great hump-day!

Pink Card - MPS challenge

Hi crafters....

I saw a challenge on MPS and thought I'd try to whip something up.  This card is perfect for the drizzly, yucky weather we are having here in the midwest. I tried to use some fun stuff to kind of 'cheer' it up and I love the sparkly, white paer!

Enjoy!

Open Apple Pie

Yummo!
Good afternoon crafters!  I know I post a lot of paper crafting.  I neeeeeeed to post some layouts - 'cause that means I'm actually making some.  I'm getting behind on my scrapping.  But, I'm having fun...  Here's one thing I made.  Oh. My. G.  This was yummo.  One of my friends told me about it so I thought I'd give it a try.  It's a pie shell on the bottom, apple pie filling - you can buy it, but I like to make it because it's not that hard and tastes yummo and I know what is in it.  I just use my apple, peeler, corer, slicer (say that 10 times) from Pampered Chef and sliced approximately 5 apples.  I melt about 1/2 to 3/4 stick butter and  mix in about a cup of brown sugar, some cinnamon and whatever other spice you may enjoy.  I put the apples into that mixture on the stove and let them cook for about 4 minutes then put everything into the pie shell.  I pulled the sides of the shell over to make it kind of a tart.  Why did I not top it?  I dunno.  'Cause my friend didn't.  :)  But the kicker is rolos....put about 10 of them all around the top of the pie.  Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon around the crust and then bake it in the oven for approx 45 minutes at 350 degrees.  The rolos don't completely melt but do make it nice and chocolate, carmely tasting.  It's really yummy!  I will say next time I think I'll put a crumb topping on it....I think it would have even been better with that.  Enjoy the pics...too bad you can't have a sniff.

Satin Flower Barrettes

Wow...how easy are these!?!?!  Thanks Karlee for your video tutorial on how to make them.  You can find her blog on my fave blogs to the right of this post.  She seems really down to earth and she seems to like things that look amazing but aren't really that difficult.  I like that about her.  That's why I follow her blog.  I didn't do a video but I do have multiple pictures.  If you have difficulty following them please let me know and/or look at her video from about a month ago.
I have made several million of them for my daughter and my co-workers.  I've even made some for gifts.  They are really cute, but please take caution because it does use fire.  Which is hot.  Hot will burn you.
Karlee used a lighter, but I like to use a tealight.

You will also need hair barrettes or pins; or whatever you want to use.  Magnets maybe?

These are the gems I like best they are at HL (same as the barrettes) I don't recall how much they are but they come in a bag of about 25 for a couple dollars.  They are sew on...but I'm a rebel, man.  I don't sew them.....I glue them!  Keep reading...

You also need to take satin and cut in various sized circles.  Please don't worry if they are perfect...I just cut them freehand and deal with the reprocutions.

Here is a final barrette....  PRETTY!

You need to be very careful during this step.  The fire is hot and it will burn you.  I know I said that before, but it's worth repeating.  Hot!  Hot will burn you!  Don't worry about how I know, but it is best to do this with your nails clipped.  I may or may not have ended up with a blackened thumb nail.  There's no proof.  :)  BE CAREFUL!  I also have to say that this is amazing.  It's cool to watch the satin curl when it's against the flame.  Just turn the satin when you get the look you want.  You will know immediately when to turn it.  Try to do it before it actually starts to flame itself, but even if it does just blow it out.  The satin will be very hot - don't try to touch it to stop the flame - again...no proof!  :)

After you've done the first step this is what it looks like...not much but keep going!

Oh, here is the glue that I use.  I'm sure there are others, but this is what I had and I know it works.  I'm sure others do to, I just haven't tried them.

First I glue the gem on and then I burn the edges of the satin as I glue each layer.  I think that is the easiest way and gives the coolest looking flower.  We all wanna be cool.  Right?!?

I like to do 6 or 7 layers total.  I did some green flowers and some red ones.  LOVE them!

Finally I glue on the barrette.  Super simple!  Take care not to glue the two sides of the barrette together.  I spring it open every 20 mins or so while it's drying to make sure it doesn't glue itself closed.  However, you can always stick a butter knife between the prongs to unpry it if you do not heed my warning.  Again, no proof.

Okay, that's it!!!  Easy Peasy and the results are BEAUTIFUL!!!!
My daughter loves them and I love her.  That is why I have made millions of them.

BEE-u-tiful

Hi crafters!!!

Hope you are doing well!  I am located in the middle of Indiana and it's feeling like fall here!  YAY!  It's my favorite time of the year!  I am going to take my kids to the pumpkin patch later today...we are looking forward to that!  Just what I need for my front porch!  A punkin or two!  :)  I also think I'll spend a bit of time this weekend working on some pumpkin recipes and hopefully some paper crafting too!  I still need those darned layouts....I've been spending a lot of time making my Christmas cards.  I don't think I'm going to do that again - it's overwhelming really.  I have 75 to make and am doing the waterfall style (like my anniv card) so I've been cutting and coloring and although I've made a lot of progress I'm sure it's MUCH less hassle and expense to just buy some.  Oh well, hopefully everyone will notice the love I've put into each one!  I've been spending all of my paper time on them...blinging them up, cutting, taping, bradding, it's a whole ordeal!  But I think they are going to turn out really cute and I believe I am on the homestretch now.  Can I get a YAY!!....YAY! !!  Thank you.
I have to show you this card I made for one of my friend's birthdays.....  I know she loved it!!!  And she is just that - Beautiful!  Inside and out!  She looks amazingly like Paula Deen from the Food network!  No lie, it's amazing....people tell her all of the time!  And she has the cutest name.  Lynn Dinn.  I call her Lynnie Dinnie and she's one of my very bestest friends AND she is like a mama to me.  I love her, love her, love her!!!!
Anyway, I totally cased this idea from another website.  Dawn's Stamping Thoughts...you can find her blog on the left side of this page.  She is FAB and does FAB videos.  Maybe I'll do videos sometime in the future??? They do help but unless the card looks complicated I find myself fast-forwarding to the end so I can see the end product.  LOL!

I don't remember the name of the card, but it is really cool because it stands up on it's own and then it folds flat to fit in an envelope!  This is THE ONLY one that I made...I'll have to make more soon!  It was fun and really not too complicated with Dawn's help!

I used my cricut to cut out the bees and the honey thing.  I used sparkly paper for the yellow and velum for the wings.  I added some bling to the biggest bee's antenna and also some googly eyes which I eventually took off because they didn't close into the card right.  I also sponged the card and added some ribbon.  LOVE how it turned out!

Have a great  bee-u-tiful day!!!

What's New Pussycat?

Hi pals!
I have to say, that I had fuuuun making this card!!!  I think it turned out really cute too!  I love it, love it, love it!  It may be my fave so far, but shhhh...don't tell the others, I don't want to hurt any feelings!  :)  Okay, maybe not my fave, but one of them, that's better.  I didn't know that I would enjoy cardmaking as much as I do!  I need to get back to my scrapping though and will hopefully post another layout soon....a FINISHED one at that!!!  I have had a busy weekend, but wanted to get something posted because this is a lot of fun!  Okay...here's my card...

Isn't it too much!!  NOW you know why I like it so much!  The stamps are from My Cat's Pajamas - they have really cute ones!  I'd love to get them all.  Know what I do sometimes.  Go through and put them all in my cart, then log out before I buy anything.  Kinda sad maybe, but makes me feel good to have them in my cart if only for a little while.  That's normal, right???  Too bad I wasn't born both rich AND cute.  Guess I'll have to settle for cute, for now....  :)  Maybe I'll have rich children someday who will buy me all the paper I want!  :)

Glamour Puss...

Well, that just about sums up how I'm feeling today.  Glamour Puss.  Funny.  Sorry the picture isn't as crisp as I'd like.  Told you it was one of those days.  Get over it, it's cute anyway.  LOL!  :)
I like the colors - it's old paper from CTMH I believe.  There was a lot of hype a few years back with black and pink which suited me just fine because pink is my favorite color.  There, that's making me feel better already!  I swear, it's the small things that matter most sometimes!  I know I love it when my sweetie does small things for me....brings me an ice cold polar pop, rubs my shoulders, gets excited over a craft I've done or a blog I did, makes me coffee, buys me something sparkly!  :)  Okay, maybe the last one isn't such a small thing...........but it would make me HAPPY!  :)  A girl can dream, can't she and I dream BIG!  I've been accused of being a size queen, I can't help it.  I like what I like.  And, I like this card.  A lot.  I'd love to hear your comments...feel free to share a little thing that makes you happy!
Hope your day is a good one.
Glamour Puss.

Anniversary Waterfall Card

HI PALS!!  :)
Hope you are having a good day!  I just had to post the Anniversary card that I made for my sweetie.  He's so darned cute.  I just love the idiot.  :)  He really liked the card!  Of course, he liked the present too, but in my eyes it was the best card ever!!  (I know...I've said that before.  Oh well, humor me!)  Best card for the best bf...how's that.  Too mushy maybe?  Ah, well, you haven't seen the card yet, or did you peek already?  (For those of you that have met my bf...you know he's pretty darned awesome and a great fit for me!)
Here is the fab card  and I have a few images to show you each part of the waterfall.  It's a little more difficult than the average card to make, but the results are wowza!  No wonder he loves me!  :)

Hope you enjoyed!!!

Dude...where's my card?

Dude....
I feel like making cards for boys is sometimes a challenge.  Or maybe it's just that the men in my life are difficult.  Whatever the reason I struggle with what to do.  Frogs, fish, and bugs, albeit are cute (esp with create a critter!) but they are often not exactly what I want.  AND now that I have an 11 year old son he wants things that aren't so childish.  I think this card turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself and you know I do.  :)
Oh no she didn't...  Oh yes, I did!  :)
Tee hee!

Do all pre-teens say DUDE all of the time!?!  I had to draw the line to him calling me dude!! No that's just not right!  He can call me mama or mom since mommy is no longer in his vocab  (whaaa!) but that's it.  NO duuuude for me no matter how cool it makes him feel.

Well, I hope you enjoy and find some inspiration!!

Stinkin' Cute

Good Morning fellow crafters!!
Oh, I'm happy that it is FRIDAY!  YAY!!!  I have a fun-packed weekend with my BFF coming up with her family tomorrow and we are going on a Haunted Hayride.  Fun!  Well, I only have a minute, but I wanted to post this cute (stinkin' cute) card that I made.  I've never seen a cuter skunk in my whole life, not that I've looked very hard either.  I used MPS stamps and of course my create-a-critter cricut carty.  I think thats my most favorite one!  Oh, and I did the envelope too with flower stamp and colored it in using water pens.
Enjoy and have a stinkin' fun day!  :)

Yes, I know summer is over....

Yes, I know summer is over.  Honestly, I'm even HAPPY about that fact.  But, there is something that I love about that Snoop Doggy Dog, and I don't mean the scary rapper...I mean Chuck's pal, Snoopy!!!  SO, I just had to make another card today to feature him.  He's just so cool layin there in his chair and when I put away my Snoopy vampire stamp I saw this one and knew I had to make a card.  It wasn't becasue of fleas that I got the itch, it was because he's just so cool.  (okay, that was corny...let's pretend I didn't say it)

Hope you enjoyed!

Halloween Spinner

Hi my friends...
I LOOOOOOVE Halloween!  It's my favorite holiday!  I love fall, isnt' it the bestest??!!  :)  I made these really cute spinner cards to send to my besties this year.  I guess I need to mail them soon, but I wanted to make sure to spotlight them first. I actually had posted them when I first started blogging (a whole, long month ago) but my friend, who is like a mama to me, told me I need to focus on one thing/blog and not put so much out there.  SO, if you look hard enough at my blog you will see that I already have this posted, but now I will highlight it.  Same with some others to follow.  I do enjoy crafting and sometimes I think it's no big deal, especially since the cricut makes it so easy!!  BUT, I get that we are all inspirations to eachother and I hope someone finds something they can use in each post!
That being said, let me show you my card...
Good Ol' Snoopy!  I just love him!

This is my first spinner card....next time I will use smaller thread but isn't it cute!!! (Insert high-pitched squeal here)  I love the spooky paper mixed with the not so spooky Snoop and Woodstock.  I also love the shimmer!  It's a SU product.  I have since found some way cheaper at our local scrap store, which is nice b/c I used almost a whole bottle on these 8 cards.  The store's bottle is less expensive and about 3x the size. I don't remeber the name of it, but I know it has an angel on the bottle.  It's good stuff!
I sometimes go the little extra and make matching envelopes, and I did that with these...they turned out cute too.
Now I gotta get them mailed!!!!  :)

Tell you what, since I am soooo cited about my new followers.  I will randomly draw a name from all that leave a comment on THIS post and I will mail a blank card to you.  I will do the drawing this Sunday so I can mail the card on Monday the 18th.  I will just address the envelope and send so you'll have to use your own envelope to mail it, but you'll have a cute Halloweenie card!

TTFN,
Tammy
