Busy weekend

Seems like I have a lot to post, but no time to post them.  Harumph.  I guess that's an okay problem to have.  This weekend was packed full.  Let's see there was a cookout on Friday, early morning Saturday football game followed by a quick trip to HL (yay!) then a double header volleyball game and then a double header baseball game.  Whew!  I also had a bit of alone time which was nice and then some good snuggle time with my bf.  Today I got up early and made some cuuuute chalkboards.  I painted canvas yesterday adn put everything together this morning.  I think I may open an Etsy shop and try to sell some of my creations.  ??  Not sure yet.
Anyway today we had my son's birthday party at a go-cart/arcade spot it was fun. He said it was his best party yet!  :)
Okay, let's look at the latest creations!
First one is my menu board.  I got the frame at HL yesterday for 50% off!  I framed a canvas I had painted with chalkboard paint and ordered cool liquid chalk.  Turned out really cute,  I think!  I have this on my wall in the kitchen.  Looove it!  I think the kids will like it too.

Next, I can't take credit for.  I found her through someone and she is in my faves....she goes by bean and she does amazing work. You can find her at:

I made several of these and will send more pictures asap.  They turned out really cute and are a lot of fun to make!  Thanks, Bean!!

Well, here's to a happy, healthy, stress-free week!  (After last week, I really need it!)

Yay!!! IT ARRIVED!! :)

Yay!  I'm sooo 'cited!  I got a sewing machine today!  Gotta love the UPS man!!  I found one on ebay that sells for $90 at the store, but was $35 + $10 shipping!  Pretty good deal, I think.  I have a big one that was my moms but it's in the garage and maybe one day I will have room for it, but until then this small jobbie will do the job.  I, of course, had a job in mind as soon as it arrived.  My daughter plays volleyball and sometimes it is hard to keep her hair out of her face while she plays.  One day after a game there was a woman selling these headbands that looked simple enough to make and they were $8 or $10 each.  I knew I could make them....so I researched small sewing machines, found one that was affordable and got good reviews and pulled the trigger.  Then I went to HL - my new FAVE! and spent a load on ribbon and elastic.  SO....the $8 headband ended up costing me about $50, but I can make a million of them!  I think they turned out really cute!
My gorgeous daughter modeled them for me....

I also made that flower....here's a closer look of that.

My son liked them so much that he wanted something too, so I made him a bracelet.

Here is him modeling that...  so cute!

Not to be outdone, my little chihuahua got a necklace too!!

She's so pretty!  And here are my girls posing for a picture together.

Well, that's it for now.  Hope you enjoyed and these are soooo fun and easy to make.  If I can do it, you can do it!!

GO PACKERS AND COLTS!

Around here it's Colts country and the men in the house are crazy about football.  Well, sports, in general, but I think football is their fave!  SO - this time of year they are in heaven!  My BF's favorite team is the Packers, I'm really not sure why, but it's fun to play along.  He says he likes them because they are from Wisconsin but if truth be told, I think it has more to do with the fact that he loves their uniforms.  :)  Tee Hee!  Anywho...I made some cute picks with the cricut and used them in a cake I made yesterday for gametime.  I thought I'd share how cute they turned out!

I think they turned out cute!!  AND the cake was yummy too!  :)
Well, more to come soooon!
Hope you enjoy!

Fun Friday

What a fun Friday we had!!  Last night after a pizza party at my daughter's school, dropping my son off at a friend's, and enjoying the wonderful weather with my bf on the patio, I got to enjoy some time in the craft room!  I made some cute cards and thought I'd share them with you.  Be sure to read to the bottom because I have something extra cute to show you!

I gave this one to my daughter whom I call Chicken....not really sure why but it's been her nickname since she was an infant and after almost 13 years she's just gotta face that she is stuck with it!  I got this chicken wire stamp from my SU! demonstrator!  Her name is Debbie and she is awesome!  She also gave me the idea for the following card....
This card reminds me of the piggy comercial "this pig goes Whee, whee, whee all of the way home!"
I made this 3x3 card and box - not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but maybe will use it for "you've been boo'd"  I just hadn't made a box yet and wanted to give it a try. Emma, thank you for your idea - maybe I should outline in white like you did?  Either way, it's cute - er, spooky!
I've downloaded this 3x3 twice and couldn't get it to turn, so it is what it is right now.  :)  It's still cute as a bug!
Another 3x3 - I like the bubbles!
Okay, one more before the real treat....
This stamp cracked me up - I found it at HL for 50% off!  I haven't put a saying on the card yet because I am not sure who I want to give it to....but the possibilities are endless!  I love these two ladies.

Okay......
Now for the treat.
First I need to say...NO, it's not mine...YET!!!

...but I WANT ONE!!!  SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!
are you ready??

SOOOOO CUTE!!!

Mr. Hedgehog!
Have a great weekend!

Calendar crazy

I spent some time over the last few days making some Christmas gifts.  I found this cute calendar template on http://www.mycalendarcreate.com/ and put together these acrylic frame calendars.

I think they turned out soooo cute!  And they are inexpensive to make!  I was even able to use my scraps so it was even better.  I'm trying to figure out who to give which to and which one to keep!  I put the calendar itself on the outside of the frame and if you look carefully you can see that I put the staple in backwards - I did that because it makes it easier to pull the page off when it's time to change to the next month.  I was also thinking that it would be fun to change these every month - that would be really cute and I may work on that, but I think they are also great just the way they are!  That's what thing I love about creating, you can do whatever you want and there is no end!

Weekend Fun

Good morning!  So far it's been a great weekend - a nice follow-up to an extremely busy week!  Al's football team is doing great 3-1 and Kaity's volleyball team won their game yesterday so they are 1-1.  We also had practices, games, homework, and all of the other fun 'mom' stuff going on.  It was a great week but sometimes being busy makes the week go by so quickly.  My goal is to always try to enjoy the moment.  I did find some time to scrap (don't get twisted! Haha!).  I'm going to include some of the things I (we) worked on.  I also did several scrapbook pages.  Yay!

I made this for a good friend's daughter.  I used stitch witchery - I ironed it onto the fabric and then I used my cricut with the deep cut blade to cute the letters.  It worked out perfectly!! I hadn't cut fabric before this - but I am sure I will again!
The next coupla pictures are of the Eiffel Tower that my bf drew FREEHAND!!  for my dd's school project. He did a great job and she was soooo happy!

This last post fot today is a card that I 'scraplifted' from someone - I'm sorry I do not remember who.  I changed some things, and think it turned out really cute.  I used Robyn's (TPS) stamp set Punnylicious. I'm going to give it to my bf sometime this week - just because.  :)  I love that kind of reason!

Well, that's it for now.  I am going to do some more scrapping in between laundry, baseball, making seafood lasagna (doesn't that sound good!), and the COLTS game!!  My bf will watch football all day I'm sure, so I'll hear about it one way or another so I may as well join in and have fun!  TTFN!

Simply Charmed Friday!

This blogging is fun!  I enjoy making stuff and sharing it with anyone that is interested.  I did some more with the Simply Charmed cartridge and I loooove it!!  I think these turned out really cute.
I think maybe I need to put a clean piece of paper under my work when I am taking a picture.  :)  Sorry about the mess underneath!  I think these penguins are adorable adn it's sweet they are holding hands.  Reminds me of me and my sweetie and judging by the brisk air outside today, I will be able to fill this page soon!
I did these 12x12 pages using my gypsy and can't wait to put my kids's 1st day of school pics in them!

This is a yummy card I made....got the pattern from a SU demonstrator that had a class earlier this week using similar stamps.  I loved the card idea, it's cute having 'moveable' parts! I tok a picture of it both closed and opened.  Looks good enough to eat!  :) YUMMO!!
