Barbecued Beef Sandwiches Recipe

*adapted from Taste of Home recipe available online

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless beef chuck roast (3 pounds)
  • 1-1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 C apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3-4 cloves garlic1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 onion buns, split
  • 1 can beef broth - I actually love to use the Better Than Broth stuff that is sold in a smallish jar near the liquid broth.  It's a thick beef paste that goes a long way and is really flavorful!  I used one Tablespoon of that mixed with approx 8 oz of water.  They have chicken too - yummy!
  • Dill pickles!!  Mmmm!
  • Sliced onions, dill pickles and pickled jalapenos, optional

  1. I love trying out new BBQ recipes. This is even better b/c you don't have to turn on the oven...too...hot for that!
